New Normals Shouldn’t Stop Exercise of Faith

New Normals Shouldn’t Stop Exercise of Faith

During this world-wide pandemic, have you grown personally or shrunken away from your roots and your heritage?  Though things don’t look the way they used to, it’s okay to open your blinded eyes. For those who have always been active in church, COVID-19 may have seemed to stifle the world. If that’s the case, consider the ways in which you were active and readjust to the new normal. If you weren’t very active in the church but were considering becoming active, find yourself an active church that allows you to participate remotely or even gives you opportunities to help out around your community. There is always a need – in the black community, in the wealthy community, in the average community, in the city, in the county.  Just seek, and surely you will find something to keep you busy and engaged with your local church.

And to our churches: This isn’t a time for you to cower back and rest.  This is all the more time for your expression of God’s great grace and the abundant life that was taught us through the church for so many decades. Think strategically about how to benefit the community you are in.  This is a great time to engage those that have never engaged with the church no matter the reason. It’s our time to shine! There are so many sick and hurting souls that need just one person to reach out to them in love and Godly concern.  It could make the difference between life and death. During this time and beyond the focus shouldn’t be on finances. Surely the church has appointed members to focus on finances through prayer and supplication.  Allow the true ministry of the church to be God focused and people minded. Strengthen your leadership to better understand how to grow the church through giving outside of the church walls. Ultimately, the gain belongs to Jesus. The gain is all His.
